Eligibility & Hygiene Standards
Because toilet seats are hygiene products, we can only accept returns that are unused, uninstalled, and in their original, unopened retail packaging — unless the product is defective or Topseat shipped the wrong item.
To be eligible:
- The item must be complete (seat, lid, hinges, bumpers, mounting hardware, manuals, and any accessories).
- Retail packaging must be intact and undamaged. Please place the retail box inside a protective outer box for return shipping.
- Check sizing/shape (round vs. elongated) before opening the sealed box. If you need help confirming fit, contact us at CS@topseat.com.
Non-Returnable Items
- Any toilet seat that has been opened, installed, or used (unless defective or the wrong item was shipped).
- Customized, special-order, or clearance items marked “final sale.”
- Gift cards.
How to Start a Return
- Go to the Return Portal: Return Portal , or email CS@topseat.com within 30 days of delivery.
- Provide your order number, the item SKU, confirmation that the product is unopened/unused, and photos if reporting damage or defect (include packaging).
- We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and, when applicable, a prepaid label.
Do not ship without an RMA.
Note: The RMA and any provided label expire in 14 days. Ship your return before it expires to avoid delays.
Return Shipping & Labels
Who pays:
- Topseat pays if your order arrives damaged, is defective, or we shipped the wrong item.
- You pay for change-of-mind, ordered-by-mistake, or wrong-size/shape returns.
Packing tips:
- Use the original retail box inside a protective outer box.
- Include all components and your RMA slip.
- Remove or cover old labels and use a trackable shipping service.
Original shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless we made an error.
Refunds & Timelines
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after the return reaches our warehouse and passes inspection.
- If parts are missing, packaging is damaged, or the item shows signs of installation/use, we may return the product to you or deduct an amount reflecting its condition.
- Exchanges are processed as a new purchase (see below).
Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item
We will make it right.
- Report shipping damage within 7 days of delivery; report defects within 30 days. Include photos of the product and packaging.
- Shipping damage: Keep all packaging for carrier inspection. We will replace or refund and provide a prepaid label.
- Defect or missing parts: We can often resolve quickly by sending replacement parts; otherwise, we will arrange a replacement or refund.
- Wrong item shipped: We will provide a prepaid label and send the correct item.

Exchanges
For the fastest exchange, place a new order for the correct item and start a return for the original.
We will refund the original once it is received and inspected.
International Orders
- Prepaid labels are not provided for international returns (outside your ship-from country).
- Duties and taxes are set by your local authority and are not refunded by Topseat. Please check with your carrier or customs office for reclaim options.
Marketplace Purchases
If you purchased through a marketplace (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair), please initiate the return directly on that platform so your order and refund are processed under their policies.
