Topseat Wins Default Judgment in German Patent Infringement Case

    Topseat GmbH, the German affiliate of Topseat International Inc., has obtained a default judgment from the Munich Regional Court I (Case No. 44 O 16199/22) against a company in the east China province of Zhejiang for direct infringement of European Patent No. EP 3 205 497, which protects Topseat’s proprietary Art of Acryl toilet seat technology.

    The court ordered the defendant to provide Topseat with comprehensive information on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of the infringing products within Germany and to compensate Topseat for resulting damages. The ruling also confirms Topseat’s right to recover its legal costs.

    This decision reinforces Topseat’s commitment to defending its intellectual property and safeguarding the integrity of its innovations worldwide.
